In the Ukrainian market of the premium car isn’t the first year sets the tone of the constant five brands: BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Audi, Lexus, Land Rover. The share of these brands traditionally exceeds 80% of the total number of sales in the segment.

For the first half of 2017 in Ukraine 5 594 premium cars were sold, of which 4 655 cars were decorated with the emblems of the above-mentioned top five. In comparison with the same period of last year, sales in the segment increased by 17.92%.

Leadership still retains BMW company, although the number of sold cars decreased by 6% - 1406 cars last year against 1499. The most popular model of the brand remains the X5 crossover (382 instances), which accounts for almost a third of the total brand's sales. Unsuccessfully to keep pace with it tried the more compact off-road models X3 (230) and X1 (205).

Mercedes-Benz, on the contrary, increased sales of its models by almost 20% (1209 cars vs. 1019 cars) but didn’t reach the sagging Bavarians. Almost half of the realized cars with three-beam star on the hood - a crossover GLE (533 copies). Due to a significant increase in sales, the model even managed to bypass the direct competitor BMW X5, who was leading in the class before. More and more car owners of these two models are care about protecting their cars from theft and install the satellite security system Benish Guard. Also  flagship SUV GLS (209 instances) improved its positions and compact crossover GLC (122 instances).

Even more effective growth dynamics demonstrated Audi, which increased sales by 45% (1040 against 713). The undisputed leader of the brand is the flagship crossover Q7 (566 instances), which managed this year to get ahead of its direct competitors from Munich and Stuttgart. Thanks to the release of a new generation of Q5 crossover, in turn, also boasted a jump in popularity, increasing the miserable last year's circulation from 21 cars to 144! No more model from Ingolstadt was not able to exceed the bar in 100 instances.

Lexus also significantly strengthened its position in the market, indicators of the Japanese improved by 35% (609 cars vs. 449). The largest contribution made the RX crossover, which dispersed in the number of 330 copies. On the second position with a large gap is the LX SUV (148 instances), and on the third place is the ES sedan . NX crossover this year fell out of the top three, as sales of the model unexpectedly decreased almost twice.

The company Land Rover despite a slight decrease in sales (5.5%) didn’t fall out of the Top-5. The British managed to sell only 391 cars. The best result traditionally shown flagship Range Rover - 102 instances. Other models are not too far behind the leader, except the Discovery SUV, whose sales have fallen by almost a quarter, and even a change of generations couldn’t spur demand.

Thus, according to sales statistics for the first six months of this year, the premium segment continues to grow. Most popular models managed to maintain their leadership positions in their segments. At the same time, unfortunately, the demand for leaders on the black market hasn’t decreased - the number of hijackings of expensive cars is constantly growing. Don’t save on protecting your car and make a choice only in favor of high-quality security systems, for example, from the company Benish GPS.
